Save Invermay

A Save Invermay website was launched today. It is a repository for many AgResearch related documents and associated media stories. It also provides an e-contact form to petition the Minister directly.

I’ve previously written plenty on why the Invermay plan makes little sense. My frustration with obfuscation and lack of transparency is growing. Decision-making should withstand scrutiny when taxpayer money is being spent.

In one sense, today’s news that 40% of AgResearch staff say they’ll retire or find another job – rather than shift to another campus – comes as no surprise. But such concrete data should cause Minister Joyce to ask hard questions of those driving the restructure.
